Last August we had the pleasure of attending ASUG’s first ever Business One Summit. From VistaVu, Jory Lamb - President of VistaVu Solutions, Roy Garcia - Director of Business Development, and Lesley Dubin - Director of Customer Accounts attended.

The America’s SAP Users Group (ASUG) SAP Summit was the first dedicated to Business One. Held  August 4-6, it was very informative with a solid agenda but even more valuable were the networking opportunities. A positive theme throughout was SAP’s dedication to Business One (B1) and B1’s strong positioning to SAP’s revenue and bottom line - a sure sign of continued growth in research and development for you - our B1 clients.

SAP client, Nike, and their lovely World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, couldn’t have been nicer or more conducive for the first ever gathering of SAP representatives, resellers, customers, and partners. The VistaVu team who attended helped prove to SAP the importance of B1 through our collective voices from the larger than expected participation at the conference.

Of the 254 registrants, 50 percent were customers. Per Carl Lewis, ASUG conference coordinator, VistaVu had an impressive five customers in attendance representing 4 companies - Tammy Keeran of Black Hills Bentonite, Rachel Sim of Canadian Advanced, Kevin Semenjuk of Edmonton Exchanger, and Jason Appleyard and Steve Fillinger of TOMCO Group of Companies.

VistaVu joined 58 fellow partner organizations, including resellers, and Software Solution Providers (SSPs), including partners from Europe and South America.

SAP had 13 representatives attend including executives from SAP headquarters in Germany, and ASUG sent 3 executive officers, demonstrating in full force that they care about the B1 community as much as we do.  This executive and global participation led to an overall tone that B1 is extremely important and all levels of the SAP channel community care about what you, our valued clients, have to say.

The highlights of the event were the invitation-only VistaVu client dinner with Mary Coppard, National Channel Sales Manager, SAP Canada Inc. and client lunch with Lea Dvir, Channel Enablement & Solution Expert, SAP Business One, Small Business Go-To-Market Global, SAP Americas.

At both, we explained our client’s specific solution and support needs now and their projections for the future. We shared our refined and improved VistaVu Project Methodology with condensed milestones and more automated software installation steps (such as wizards). We were proud to share that our oil, gas, and energy services add-on, FieldVu, has over 3500 man hours invested per year since 2007 and over 4000 man hours invested in 2010 alone.

The VP of Global Sales for SAP announced to the B1 Summit that VistaVu Solutions closed the largest deal in North America during Q2 2010 with Wellhead Distributors Inc. Congratulations to Dave Koop, Jonathan Schofield and other Vistavu team members along with a huge thank you to Kevin Semenjuk of Edmonton Exchanger who acted as an integral reference for us.
