When VistaVu Solutions recently returned to the PROFIT 500, the definitive list of Canada's PROFIT 500 LOGO EN 2013 BLB resized 600Fastest-Growing Companies, it was cause for pride in Calgary and Houston.

The PROFIT 500, published by Canadian Business, ranks companies according to their rate of revenue growth over the previous five-year period. VistaVu ranked #358 in the PROFIT 500 released on June 12, compared to #385 one year ago in the 2013 edition.

In fact, this is just one of several business growth awards that VistaVu has earned over the past two years. We asked VistaVu President Jory Lamb: what’s the meaning behind all this silverware?

“It shows we’re fulfilling what we promise, which is to help our oil and gas service customers run great,” says Lamb. “When we do that, we attract more interest from our marketplace. Our products perform, our customers grow and we grow.”

Of course, oil and gas service companies come in all shapes and sizes, from small firms servicing nearby assets to multi-billion dollar companies stretching around the globe.

As a company grows, its needs evolve. For many firms, the functionality of SAP Business One and VistaVu’s FieldVu add-on is a game-changer for operational efficiency and managerial effectiveness. Solutions like SAP BusinessObjects and SAP HANA allow companies to take things to the next level in terms of business process and decision-making. Thanks to FieldCap, more VistaVu customers are retiring their paper field tickets and moving to mobile data capture and transmission. The company also recently earned certification as an SAP Business All-In-One partner, and can now do much more for larger enterprises.

In Lamb’s view, as customers grow and new customers come on board, VistaVu is with them all the way.

“When I ask customers where they want to be in three years, no one says they want to be smaller,” he says. “For our customers, and for VistaVu itself, growth is a consequence of doing things right.”
